Différences entre Ical et Caldav

iCal is a read only calendar.  This is when someone publishes a calendar they think you might be interested in seeing / using, like a youth sports calendar.

CalDav has both read and write capabilities.  You will need this for creating and sharing events within a calendar, or multiple calendars.  When you need a couple of systems, like Google Calendar and a Google App Calendar to share events with each other.
